Nope, he just keeps plugging along.

There are a few possibilities here. One is that his car is on its absolute last legs, and that if he slows down or stops he won’t be able to get it to start back up again. Two is that he is in a huge rush to get somewhere (his daughter’s soccer game, perhaps). Three is that he is high on drugs.
