Taking your driver’s license test can be a very nerve-wracking experience. Looking back at how stupid I was at age 16 it’s kind of amazing that someone thought I deserved the right to be behind the wheel of a car. It’s amazing I didn’t cause more wrecks than I did.
But at least I didn’t do what this woman did when she took her driver’s license test, and she’s in her 20s.

Officers responded to the scene, in the 14100 block of NE 20th Street in Bellevue, at about 8:30 a.m. after receiving a report of a car crashing into a building, said Seth Tyler of the Bellevue police.
A preliminary investigation found that the student, a woman in her 20s who is new to the country, was just finishing up her final driving test and was pulling into the parking space in front of the driving school when the crash happened.
“Unfortunately, that student mistook the gas pedal for the brake, sending the car into the building,” Tyler said.
“She was doing great up until that very last part … (and she) did drive through a plate glass window, so that was a fail on the test,” Tyler added.

She drove…the car…INTO the testing facility. Wow. Luckily no one was injured in the crash.
Tyler did go on to say that he hopes the driver can receive more instruction and gets a chance to re-take the test.
