If You Ever Needed A Really Strong Reason To Not Do Crystal Meth, This Insane Story Is It

Most people know that they should probably/definitely not ever do crystal meth. But maybe you like trying new things. Maybe in order for you to not try new things, you need to read a story that makes you say “JESUS CHRIST. OK, OK, I AM NEVER DOING THAT.”

If that sounds like you, then this story about a man who was high on crystal meth when he gouged his own eyes out and ate them, might just be for you. Because, ya know, JESUS CHRIST HE ATE HIS OWN EYES?!?!

Yep, sure did.

Or at least that’s the story one doctor told at a summit to raise awareness about how bad crystal meth can be.

According to Metro:

The unnamed man was said to have been high on the drug – known as ‘ice’ – at the time of the mutilation.

The shocking incident took place at the John Hunter Hospital, in Newcastle, Australia, according to Karen McNamara MP.

Ms McNamara described what had happened while speaking at a summit raising awareness about the harmful effects of crystal meth.

The Liberal Party MP said: ‘There is nothing at all recreational about this drug.

‘Let me tell you a story that demonstrates this … about a young boy taken into an emergency department for treatment who gouged out his own eyeballs and ate them.

‘We have to get these kinds of stories out to young people — this is not a recreational drug.’

If the possibility of gouging out your eyes and then eating isn’t a deterrent, maybe you need a more vanity-driven reason to not try meth. If so, feast your eyes on how attractive meth made these folks.
