"Castle Bravo" was the code name given to the United States first Hydrogren Bomb test operation, which was carried out on March 1, 1954 on the Marshall Islands. One of the many dopenesses of the internet gives us a unique view of the explosion--painted up against the resulting orange sky, it's a sight the likes of human kind may never see again. This obviously a good thing most likely, but the aesthetics are mesmerizing.
Note that this was initially put on the web earlier this year, but only recently has gone viral. The weapon may be scary as f*ck, but wow is this cool.
