A mysterious bearded gent was spotted by dozens of people in Washington, D.C. today mowing the lawn of the Lincoln Memorial, which is currently closed due to the government shutdown. He carried a South Carolina flag and a few tools, but was eventually asked to leave by park police. (Technically, I guess this counts as trespassing, which would be funny if it weren't so depressing.)
No one really knows what message the guy was trying to convey—other than the virtues of lawn care during a crisis.
We, however, think he's a true patriot. God Bless America. And God Bless Lawnmower Man.
