Samuel Campbell and Haley Fox have been dating online since 2013. The couple agreed it was time to take the next step in their relationship — a shared modem. They were going to live together, Campbell moving from his home in Alabama to Fox’s place in Oregon.
Campbell arrived, boxes in the trunk, to start his new life with his girlfriend. Upon his arrival, Fox told the 26-year-old to “close his eyes because she had a big surprise for him.” After the young man shut his eye, Fox smashed him in the face with a baseball bat. I’m no relationship expert but that seems like an awful surprise.
Fox told cops that “she decided to hurt Campbell because she did not want to be his girlfriend.” A simple TEXT would have suffice.
Fox was arrested and charged with first-degree assault. Campbell needed staples in his head.
