Every day, credit card companies send million of offer letters to potential applicants. It’s possible that more than a few of those offers contain mistakes — misspellings, incorrect addresses and even mistaken genders. Mistakes happen.
A credit card company calling someone a “slut”, well, that’s not a computer error that’s a human being a jerk.
“On Thursday, freelance writer Lisa McIntire’s mother received a credit card offer from Bank of America sort of addressed to her daughter. There was one tiny difference, though, in the name; instead of Lisa McIntire, the letter was addressed to a “Lisa Is a Slut McIntire.” McIntire’s mother contacted her daughter via text and then sent a series of photos. McIntire, of course, was slightly disturbed and took to Twitter to share the unusual junk mail.”
This comes fresh off the heels of OfficeMax addressing a letter last month to “Mike Seay, Daughter Killed in Car Crash, or Current Business.”
Below is the text exchange from a “way too amused about all this” mom alerting her slut daughter to the mail.
Now, my guess is either a pissed off dude making $8 an hour just got a bug up his ass and screwed with the machines OR the guy sending out the mail dated a Lisa McIntire and he’s just going to call every single woman in the mailing database with that name a slut and hope his Lisa actually gets the offer.
