Art Basel. I’d never heard of it until this year. All of a sudden it’s on my radar because Leonardo DiCaprio is allegedly banging 20 models at a clip and Diddy is allegedly punching Drake like it’s 1999 and Bad Boy is back.
It sounds like a good time but I guess that all depends on the person. Performance artist Kalan Sherrard wasn’t having the best time, he’s opposed to how the people at Art Basel run the event, so he staged a “performance piece” that involved waving a fake dick around.
According to the Miami Herald, Sherrard was part of a group of 30 people protesting the wealthy. With dildos. I don’t see the connection. Anyway, the cops show up, Sherrard starts waving his cock around (the fake one) and got arrested. Sherrard was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence. While in custody, Sherrard posed for the above mugshot which is definitely a performance piece in its own regard.
Because the Miami Herald is in the real news business, they’re forced to ask the tough question. So they asked what happened to the dildo. It was impounded by the police and if you think I’m writing an impounded and Miami joke you’re wrong. I made it in my mind.
