One Way To Announce You Are A Stripper Is With A Public Facebook Post, Like This Girl Did

Imgur

My mom and I are Facebook friends, unfortunately. I say unfortunately because I like to share with my friends pieces I’ve written. Sometimes (all the time), they contain references to things my mom doesn’t like, such as drug use, my general lapses as a functional human and that one time I wrote 2,000 words about how I was addicted to sexting.

Then I get a phone call

But I keep doing it, despite her reservations, because I need to share the work I do to build a dedicated audience. Whatever. I do it. Why have the shame?

Another career where you need a dedicated clientele is stripping. And if this Imgur album is to be believed, one lady decided to come out as a stripper on the book. BOLD. I approve.

Then in the comments, she shuts down some fucking haters. I couldn’t agree with her more. Why do we have this tacit understanding that certain things are okay to share and certain things aren’t? Who gives a fuck? If any person believes your carefully crafted social presence to be indicative of who you are, that person is an idiot.

This woman is happy with her job, and she wants to share that with us. We should be happy, too. It’s a weird world where we think it’s okay to visit a strip club, but a stripper isn’t allowed to update her Work History on LinkedIn without feeling shame.
