The 2015 Winter Weather Forecast Is Out And It Is Heavy On The Polar Vortex

Were you hoping that after enduring one of the most brutal winters in recent memory you’d get a reprieve from the icy death that is December, January, February and March?

Well, ha ha, fuck you says the planet Earth. Who cares what you think? I am Gaia and all the fleece in the world can not save you from my wrath.

The 2014-2015 winter forecast from Accuweather is out, and it looks like a reprise of 2013-2014, which featured approximately 18 polar vortexes and 1,000,000,000 suicidal thoughts from the people forced to endure them.

Cold air will surge into the Northeast in late November, but the brunt of the season will hold off until January and February. The polar vortex, the culprit responsible for several days of below-zero temperatures last year, will slip down into the region from time to time, delivering blasts of arctic air.

That said, it might not be as snowy and frigid and soul-crushing as last year.

“I think, primarily, we’ll see that happening in mid-January into February but again, it’s not going to be the same type of situation as we saw last year, not as persistent,” AccuWeather.com Expert Long-Range Forecaster Paul Pastelok said.

That’s nice. Sometimes death is always better than endless death, I guess. Then again, in 2013-14, before the winter season struck, Accuweather predicted below average snow and not so terrible temperatures.

So, who knows what this winter will bring. Buy a jacket just to be safe.
