Unlike Florida and the Gulf Coast, Hawaii isn’t used to getting slammed by hurricanes. Two hurricanes — Hurricanes Iselle and Julio — are barreling towards the Hawaiian Islands, expected to say aloha with a one-two punch on the Big Island with wind speeds of 75 mph. Mahalo very much, global warming.

So how do Hawaiians prepare for a hurricane? Much like their Gulf Coast brethren, actually: Stockpiling beer, waxing down the longboard, and making sure you have enough Maui Waui to get through the next few weeks. Our friends at the secret-sharing app Whisper passed along 14 uniquely Hawaiian ways users are battening down the hatches.

Under the circumstance, all military should be allowed to get high af if they want, being that this hurricane could possibly be the last thing they do
