On the brink of her appearance in the new movie "Finding Bliss," a comedy about a young lass's journey into the adult entertainment industry (opens in New York June 4, in L.A. June 11), Stormy Daniels sat down with us for some home-cooked Q&A. Stormy has had an illustrious adult film career, winning numerous awards, directing several films, and posing for Playboy, Penthouse, GQ, and FHM. Not to mention all of the loads she is responsible for.
Outside of adult entertainment, Stormy lives a pretty normal life but she has certainly made her fair share of waves. She has made headlines for her gubernatorial run in Louisiana, her steadfast stance against adult entertainment piracy, and was even arrested for assaulting her husband. She
likes it rough, no harm there.
In our discussion, Stormy talked about "Finding Bliss," the plight of the adult entertainment, her favorite positions, and the strangest places she has ever had sex… turns out it wasn't while she was filming "Meatless in Seattle" or any of her other movies.
BroBible: "Finding Bliss" looks pretty hilarious. Tell us a little bit about your role in the movie.
Stormy Daniels: I basically play myself so it wasn't much of a stretch for me, but it was a lot of fun! It was nice to see a movie portray the adult entertainment industry in a positive and funny way. The cast was awesome and I had a fantastic time.
Some of the jokes in "Finding Bliss" are based around the titles of adult entertainment movies like "Glad He Ate Her," instead of "Gladiator" and so on. In your opinion, what has been the movie with the craziest title that you have been in?
Some of the funniest are: "Breastside Story," "Saturday Night Beaver," and "Meatless in Seattle."
How did you get your start in making adult films?
I began as a dancer and adult magazine model. A friend was headed out to L.A. to shoot her first adult entertainment and I tagged along. I was always a fan of Wicked Pictures so when they offered me a part and later a contract, I didn't hesitate.
Is the on-camera f*cking fun for you or is it merely work at this point?
Depends on who my co-star is! Usually it is fun and I truly love what I do, especially the movies that I also direct. But just like any job, some days are better than others.
Being an adult film star, you probably find sex in strange places to be something of the norm. Where is the strangest and/or kinkiest place you have had sex?
The strangest place I've ever had sex actually was not for a movie... I had sex with a girl on the 50-yard line on a football stadium.
What is your favorite position and what is the one word that you would use to describe feeling that it gives you?
I like standing doggie and good old fashioned missionary. Orgasmic… duh! Haha.
Porn, as a whole, has fallen on some hard times; do you think that high-end production movies could possibly save the adult film industry?
I hope so! I work for Wicked Pictures, so I really hope that the quality of our movies will encourage people to stop wasting money (or stealing) all the crap that is out there. Piracy and and over saturation are destroying the business.
Speaking of hard times, free adult entertainment sites are largely to blame for them. Does it bother you that there is so much piracy in adult entertainment and no signs of the government stepping in to regulate and prosecute these thieves?
Are you kidding me? It irks me to no end and I think about it every single day. It has already destroyed the music industry and now piracy is killing the movie business... both adult and mainstream. I pray for a day when intellectual property has the same value in the eyes of the
law/government. I want the average person to view stealing a song and/or movie the same as stealing their neighbor's car.
You recently dropped your candidacy to run for Senate in Louisiana. What happened?
It is unfortunate how expensive politics are. I think the price of campaigning keeps some of the best people for the jobs from even attempting to run. I just could not afford to run or establish residency in Louisiana. I already have two homes and a third was out of the question.
