Riding a horse drunk is probably the best way to get picked up for robbery

If we’ve got to find the positive in this story, at least she didn’t get behind the wheel.

A woman from DeKalb County, Alabama allegedly rode a stolen horse to rob a store. The 45-year-old year old woman, named Christine Saunders, is currently facing only alcohol-related charges.

Here’s what happened according to the cops:

Sheriff Jimmy Harris said his office got a call about an intoxicated woman stealing merchandise from a store at Hammonds Crossroads Saturday evening. Deputies and Fyffe police responded and say they found her carrying the stolen items. Authorities also found a horse tied outside the store and believe she rode it there. The horse was returned to its owner who did not press charges.

Saunders was charged with public intoxication and illegal possession of a prohibited beverage. The horse will not be charged as an accomplice.
