A former WWE superstar choked out a thief while visiting Amsterdam last week.

Harry Smith — known to WWE fans as David Hart Smith — saw a man steal a woman’s purse and realized the three security guards called to assist were struggling to subdue the thug. Smith jumped in to help and choked the man out.

Witness said that the purse snatcher was initially aggressive with the security guards but calmed down considerably when Smith, standing 6’5″ and weighing 250 pounds, got involved in the situation.

Harry Smith worked in the WWE from 2007 until 2011. He won World Tag Team gold with Tyson Kidd. Smith is the son of pro wrestling legend Davey Boy Smith and competes in Japan as Davey Boy Smith Jr.
