Video and photos are traveling across social media showing the devastation after two tornadoes ripped through the tiny Nebraska town of Pilger.
Two people are confirmed dead and 16 injured in a town of just 378 inhabitants.
“It was like God dragged two fingernails across the land,” school employee Gregg Moeller told the Weather Channel. Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman has declared a state of emergency and the National Guard is arriving today to help with clean up and ongoing search and rescue.
Here are just some of the heartbreaking photos of Pilger and towns not far from the tornadoes touch down points.
