When hugging it out goes horribly wrong.
Police said a 32-year-old named Zak Alan Harvey was super drunk and trying to hug people standing outside the club when he allegedly grabbed the neck and shoulders of another man.
It is alleged the man pushed Mr Harvey away, resulting in him falling and hitting his head on the ground. He was taken to hospital in a critical condition, but has since died from his injuries.
While I don’t condone the action, I completely understand. Drunk people are annoying, especially touchy-feely drunks. The guy just didn’t want a hug. He probably could have just said as much and pulled away.
Police said an autopsy would be conducted to determine the actual cause of death and the charges may be upgraded.
Don’t grab strangers. I don’t care how huggable they appear.
