While the Ukraine attempts to fight off an evil empire, they may have a new leader strong enough to take on Putin. Imperial leader Darth Vader has thrown his helmet in the ring for President of Ukraine. The Sith Lord of the Galactic Empire won the candidacy of the Ukraine Internet Party (UIP).
Lord Vader rallied his Stormtroopers by saying:
“I am prepared to take responsibility for the fate of this country, if fellow citizens do me this high honor. I alone can make an empire out of a republic, to restore former glory, to return lost territories and pride for this country.”
The UIP said it paid the required 2.5 million hryvnia ($225,000 / 165,000 euro) registration fee for their fascinating candidate. Vader has yet to attack the reputation of any of his opponents by calling them part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor. Darth Vader has been a popular protester in Kiev over the last few months. Ukraine is holding a presidential election on May 25 to replace ousted pro-Moscow leader Viktor Yanukovych.
Last November, Vader and his Stormtroopers marched on to Odessa City Hall in Odessa, Ukraine, where he declared himself mayor. Then Vader attempted an assault on the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice in Kiev in February and demanded Ministry’s ‘master’ to come forward to hand him over a document from the Internet Party of Ukraine. I know Vader is going to find my lack of faith disturbing, but I don’t give him much of a chance because his voice is a bit disappointing and he really needs to work on his heavy breathing.
