It’s been seven whole days since we introduced you to a lovely and talented woman that you need to keep an eye on so today we have another one and she’s a true beauty: Naomi Parmar.
Naomi was born in India, but grew up in India, New Zealand, Australia as well as the U.S. so she already knows more about the world than most of us. But that’s just the beginning of her story.
At age 15, Naomi, a high school cross-country runner, was in a car accident and lost feeling in her legs and had to endure a year’s worth of physical therapy to walk properly again. She says it was that “never-say-die attitude” that helped her when she entered the dog-eat-dog world of modeling after getting her start winning “Miss Photogenic” in an L.A.-based pageant at age 16, the youngest winner in the history of the pageant.
Soon she was established as a model and diversified into anchoring and interviews for a TV show with guests like Kal Penn and Koena Mitra. From there she was featured in the first season of NBC show Outsourced and appeared in a music video with Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston for the song “Eenie Meenie.”
Her most current project is as the lead in an upcoming Indian movie.
