You know the drill: If you want to humiliate someone's skills as a pick-up artist, give out a fake number. it's a two-way game, whether you're a dude or a chick. But now there's an iPhone App that generates temporary, disposable numbers for voice and texting. If she's into mind games for whatever reason, it means she can now give you a number that she might actually text you back from (vs. her friends number, which she'll find "hyssttteeeeericaaaal!" at brunch the next morning), even if it isn't really her real number. But it seems this app isn't just for communicating between the sexes. As fans of "The Wire" know, "Burner" is a not-so-subtle reference to Marlo Stanfield's preferred method of mobile communication. It's just all in the game, bitches.
Available in the Apple App Store for $1.99.
