  • As far as we've always heard, Jay-Z lives in the Manhatthan neighborhood of Tribeca. However, HOVA's "old" penthouse in the Time Warner Center is officially  off the market as an unknown Asian financier has reportedly purchsed the digs for $31 million. The ballin' a$$ 76th floor pad was once rented out by the rapper at a rate of $40,000 a month. If you're wondering what $40,000 a month gets you in NYC real estate, how about a panoramic city view from high above Central Park, a private terrace and a salt water aquarium suspended from the ceiling for starters. It's an instant panty-dropper. Here's waht the NY Post's Page Six has to say about the sale:

Billionaire Todd Wagner, who co-founded Broadcast.com with Mark Cuban, is close to selling his 76th-floor Time Warner Center penthouse for $31 million. We’re told the buyer is an Asian financier. Priced at more than $6,400 per square foot, the deal would be the highest price ever paid for a Time Warner Center condo. Wagner bought the 4,825-square-foot pad from serial real estate investor Michael Hirtenstein for $27 million in 2007. Hirtenstein had previously rented the apartment to Jay-Z. Prudential Douglas Elliman broker Raphael De Niro, who quietly handled the listing, declined to comment.

The apartment was originally listed at an asking price of $38 million but finally sold at the lesser price. So, if you've dreamed of sleeping or f*cking in the same bed as Hov himself, sorry bro but you missed your chance this time.
