  • Replay Vintage/Keds
Mike D once said "Got more sneakers that a plumber got pliers" and really, shouldn't everybody? But as you can see in the picture, Mike D (as played by Seth Rogen) needs to keep his shades up so they can't see your eyes. It is that time of year when you can leave the jackets at home and head for the beach. If you wanna look good this year while keeping cool, check out the best shades being offered. And what is the point of wearing the best shades possible without having that perfect pair of kicks to go with them? Mouldy, a Soletron contributor, has assembled the definitive list for 2011's hot summer on how to look good, head and toe.
  • Mosley Tribes' Tana/Air Jordan III True Blue
Mosley Tribes' Tana/Air Jordan III True Blue

Mosley Tribes' Tana shades will be good for the morning after those long, hot summer nights. Also, they are solid to impersonate a really cool looking cop. What is a better match for those shades than this summer's hottest Jordan release, the Air Jordan III True Blue? It is the same colorway as the original Jordan III that was just featured as part of Playboy's top Jordans of all time. Sorry, sneakerheads, but the girl is in the way of the shoe (Not that sorry).

  • Creative Eyewear Stunners/Converse All-Stars

After those dark shades that will help those morning-afters, you have to balance them out with something that will pop and make heads turn, and few shades pop as much Creative Eyewear's fluorescent yellow stunners. There really is only one shoe that can stand up to the flash of the Neon Yellow, and that's a classic shoe, redesigned in something flourescent: Converse All-Star. With the steadfast design of a classic, but the colors from the future, the look goes a long way with or without socks or pants. Doesn't matter, this combo will have people turning...yellow? with envy.

  • Quay Eyewear/New Balance 574
    Quay Eyewear/New Balance 574

To look like you were the Blues Brothers' cool younger brother, this pair, by Quay Eyewear out of Australia, will definitely get the job done with an updated twist on a classic design that will look good out and about in the sun as well as in a dark basement listening to some smokey blues. One classic deserves another with the New Balance 574 with new colorways for the summer. This black and red is clean, simple, and guaranteed fresh all year round.

  • Replay Vintage 'The Homes'/Bed Stu 'The Formation Plaid'

Something a little crazy, another pair of shades from Replay Vintage are called 'The Homies' for fairly obvious reasons; the green frames and tint are just sick. A twist on the classic slip-on by Bed Stu, the Formation Plaid, takes a look for a shoe that is perfect for those occasions when you don't have socks at the beach. (Note: Never have socks at the beach. Duh)

  • Ray Bans/Creative Recreation's Geno Blue Hi-Tops
    Ray Bans/Creative Recreation's Geno Blue Hi-Tops

It goes without saying that some of the most well-known sunglasses ever, for all time, is Ray Ban. This blue gradient color that fades from dark to white in that classic style is so fresh. I highly recommend getting some of these for you and for your friends in case you lose yours. That way, there will be someone close to you who you can rob. A pair of shades that are cool definitely need a solid pair of kicks. With that recognizable Creative Rec strap and patent leather to "dull" the outside while still popping with that bold blue color, Creative Recreation's Geno Blue Hi-Tops are up to the task.

  • Kerin Rose's A-Morir's 'Thunderstruck'/Sperrys
    Kerin Rose's A-Morir's 'Thunderstruck'/Sperrys

Kerin Rose's A-Morir does some pretty ridiculous, over-the-top rock 'n' roll styled shades. This design is called Thunderstruck and takes that classic rock look but blings it up a little, just in time for that summer shine. With the understated bling of the straightforward frames, the classic boat shoe that Sperry has done in clean white holds up as an ideal boat shoe, but something you can be proud of. It isn't just another old standard, but something fresh for 2011.

  • Sabre Eyewear's 'The Dude'/Nike Liberty's Dunk His
    Sabre Eyewear's 'The Dude'/Nike Liberty's Dunk His

Sabre Eyewear runs the understated and upscale image without being pretentious. With fashion changing its flow all the time, Sabre is the canoe in that river, navigating and always coming out dry with a beer in your hand and some of the best shades in the game on your face. This pair, called 'The Dude,' is clear on the sides, with that dark grey lens for a translucent look with nothing to hide. Liberty of London teamed up with Nike for this flowery collaboration. With 'The Dude' shades being devoid of any accent, these kicks will certainly make up for that. Insanely detailed on the Dunk Hi, these shoes are what a hippie would design if they had style, talent, and a shower. So fresh and so clean.
