The Zoom On New Nikon Camera Is So Ridiculous That You Can See The Moon Moving

With the outstanding cameras that come with your top-of-the-line smart phones, I haven’t even had a thought of the need for a digital camera or video camcorder in years. A camera company would need to blow my mind for me to even consider a digital camera, and that’s exactly what Nikon did with their revolutionary Coolpix P900.

The Nikon Coolpix P900 is basically a fucking telescope with a 1080p digital camera attached. The astonishing device boasts a record-breaking 83x optical zoom lens, which is equivalent to a 24-2000mm on a 35mm sensor. What that means in regular jargon is that you can see really, really, really fucking far.

With the Earth’s rotation and the moon orbiting, you can actually see the natural satellite move.

The P900 has a 16 effective megapixel low-light CMOS sensor. You can zoom up to 166x with enhanced dynamic fine digital zoom that effectively doubles your reach, or 332x digital zoom for quadruple the optical zoom’s reach. The camera offers The Wi-Fi and NFC which allows you to quickly share photos with family and friends. Plus it is equipped with GPS so it can pinpoint where your images were shot. Nikon claims that it will provide up to 360 shots on a single battery charge. The P900 will set you back $600, and probably isn’t your best option if you’re just going to take selfies.

But it’s not just for checking out celestial bodies. You want to check out a construction site in the next state over? No problem.

Desire to see the mountains, but you’re lazy and don’t want to leave your couch? No problem.

I’m sure this remarkable device will only be utilized for good and definitely not evil.
