World’s Most Valuable Car Collection Goes Up For Sale This Summer And Every Single Ride Is INSANE

Forget about the summer blockbusters in movie theaters. The real blockbuster is this sick collection of classic cars set to go up on the auction block in August.

Over thirty cars are expected to go for around $65 million this August at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance — an auction run by Sotheby’s auction house. Dubbed “The Pinnacle Portfolio”, all of the cars are from the post World War II era. The most insane part of the auction, besides the rides, is the fact that all thirty cars are currently owned by ONE PERSON. It’s Jay Leno, isn’t it? If it’s Jay Leno, I’ll stuff my shirt into my mouth until I cease breathing.

Here are just some of the cars that will be up for auction. The entire list hasn’t been released yet because they’re teasing the hell out of it just to make our lives even more miserable.

Only a fraction of the collection has been unveiled thus far, but it’s already dropping jaws: highlights include the first production Bugatti Veyron (just shown at Geneva this year alongside La Finale), the second-to-last road-going McLaren F1 ever built, and the last Ferrari Enzo — number 400, which was a gift to Pope John Paul II from former Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo. Many of the cars have barely any miles on the clock. You’d have a hard time building this collection in a racing video game, much less in real life.

The list goes on: there’s also a Jaguar XJ220, a Koenigsegg CCXR, the ultra-limited Lamborghini Reventón of which only 20 were made, and a Porsche 959, considered by many Porsche collectors to be a holy grail.

How about we all pool our money together and we buy a ticket to go watch the auction? That’s about all we’ll be able to afford.
