This isn't a concept TV, this 84-inch monstrosity is actually going to be for sale right around Christmas, just in time for no one outside the 1% to buy it. Call me crazy, but $30,000 is far too much to pay for something that will be obsolete in 2 years and selling for $1,400 at P.C. Ricard and Son by 2014...and that's before you haggle the poor bastard salesman out of his commission. Plus, while 4x HD seems like an orgasm for the eyes, this TV may already be technologically behind the curve as the Daily Mail reports, "the BBC has already filmed test content at the Olympics using a 'super hi-def' 8K format even better than Sony's."
