A few weeks ago AG made mention of "The Campaign" in his 2012 summer movie preview. Today a trailer for the political comedy staring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis finally hit the web. It didn't have a trailer at the time. Boo! Apropos for a presidential election year, "The Campaign" is about Cam Brady and Marty Huggins, two dimwit Southern politicians in a heated North Carolina congressional election. It's written by Shawn Harwell and Chris Henchy, the bros co-wrote "Eastbound and Down." It's nice to see Will Ferrell channeling his old George W. Bush caricature from his SNL days, but we kinda have to wonder if it's going to be anywhere near as good as other Ferrell classics like "Step Brothers" or "Anchorman." Too soon to tell. We're going to have to wait for another trailer to make that call. Hits theaters August 10, just a few weeks before the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.
