Since taking the lead role as the compulsive womanizer and borderline alcoholic Hank Moody on Showtime's "Californication," David Duchovny has by and large avoided the big screen. After a three year hiatus however, the actor of "X-Files" fame is back. This time, as a whacked-out goat herder.
"Goats," which also features Ty Burrell of "Modern Family, seems like the type of movie with serious potential (despite some blaring indie overtones.) The role appears perfect for Duchovny and his unorthodox tendencies, and Graham Phillips may very well be sort of young actor that could easy blossom into superstardom. Has all the pieces in place to be one of those movies that we look back on 20 years later, and not totally realize how special it really was.
