This weekend brought two teaser trailers for the new Superman movie, "Man of Steel," which is set to release next summer. They strike an unexpected tone.

There's no bombast or many of the familiar aspects of Superman movies in the past— also don't really look like trailers for a superhero movie. But I'm definitely still intrigued and excited to see when the full-length trailer for the Zack Snyder-helmed film is released.
