On the Today Show Thursday, Al Roker, Matt Lauer, and Savannah Guthrie did what they do best—talk light-heartedly about meaningless stuff. This time, the subject of banter was high school dances. Guthrie and Lauer start dancing, Guthrie says to Lauer, "Like they say in Catholic school, leave room for the Holy Ghost," and the video then turns very strange.
After Guthrie's comment, Roker inexplicably begins staring at the camera with a weird look on his face for 15 STRAIGHT SECONDS. This is never mentioned by his co-hosts, and he keeps looking at the camera with this same strange expression as Lauer starts talking about Elvis.
I've studied this video like the Zapruder film for the past, oh, 20 minutes, and I don't think there's any video editing. Roker moves a little bit while holding the look, and I'm not familiar with any amateur editing software that would be able to freeze him like this. (I also put up a theory on Reddit that it was video editing, and the f*ckers there downvoted it to oblivion. So, obviously, the group knowledge on this is that it's real.)
Why did Roker do this? Robot malfunction? A seizure? Brain fart? Another desperate attempt to be funny? Help us. We have to know how to fix Al.
