Director Peter Jackson wowed the world with his excruciatingly long, yet excruciatingly dazzling Lord of the Rings movies almost a decade ago. Now he's back with the prequel trilogy of sorts, which kicks off with this Martin Freeman/Elijah Wood led "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey"
If there's one thing Jackson gets right, it's that he doesn't compromise dazzle and epicness, all in a way that makes the story fly off the screen in pretty unique fashion. Now with this unbridled studio money making ploy known as 3D sh*t, you better bet that "The Hobbit" is the perfect sort of movie for what is otherwise often an overrated, unecessary luxury.
Movie comes out December 14th. Glad Gollum made the cut, and with extra airtime.
