Got to keep that Heisenberg, way down in the hole.

One of the more elaborate and impressively detailed mashups you'll ever see. Here, Youtube user James Montalbano set all five seasons of "Breaking Bad" to the various versions of Wire theme "Way Down in the Hole," complete with corresponding Wire-esque cinematography.

Montalbano wanted viewers to "experience the two greatest drama series' of all time simultaneously," and this is certainly the result. Really goes to show how much a visual medium is shaped WELL beyond a bunch of words on the page. The directorial vision of Vince Gilligan and David Simon are/were so crucial to the ethos of each respective show, and the fusion of the two really sheds light on the brilliance of both.

Remember, we still have 8 episodes left of the final "Breaking Bad" season, which, due to the nature of the show, will have a profound impact on where the series will ultimately rank in the sacred GOAT league. I am one of those "the Wire is the greatest show of all time, nothing else is even close" people, namely because in addition to being an insane television show with upsettingly well-developed characters, it explains so much about the world we live in, and how we've gotten here. Think it'll be really tough for "Breaking Bad" to top that, despite the fact that it possesses  what is potentially the better story.  Alas, discussions such as this one is one of the many beauties of good television.

All Hail the King stay the King.
