Television legend Andy Griffith has died at the age of 86.

One of the most well-known actors in television history, he played a small-town sheriff in “The Andy Griffith Show” from 1960-1968 and a defense attorney on “Matlock” from 1986-1995.

He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005.
