This Steve Irwin clip is the perfect example of why I miss the Crocodile Hunter.
My kid watches this show Wild Kratts on PBS. These two brothers talk about, mess with, and “go on adventures” with animals. It’s fine for little kids but it doesn’t have the element of danger that the old Crocodile Hunter shows had. Steve Irwin always made it seem like one bad move and the animal will strike! Probably because that was the truth.
Take this clip for example — Irwin is just doing his thing, hanging on to a phyton when WHAP! Irwin takes a bite to the cheek. Irwin acts like it’s no big deal.
I would have used that snake like a bull whip against a tree.
