Shocking pictures from TLC’s, ‘The Man with the 132-lb scrotum’

TLC

Last night TLC aired a special about Wesley Warren, Jr., the man with the 132-lb scrotum. It was both fascinating and sad, a shocking look at a man who suffers from the worst case of scrotal lymphedema the world has ever seen.

The 50-year-old Las Vegas resident first noticed the problem in 2008, after a traumatic injury to his testicles. He was treated with antibiotics, anti-virals, steroids, everything but the kitchen sink. Nothing worked. Finally, Dr. Joel Gelman of the University of California, Irvine’s Center for Reconstructive Urology took the case.

The hour long special follows Warren through the last few weeks leading up to surgery. We’ve highlighted some of the more “interesting” parts.

Don’t worry, they’re safe for work. Perhaps not safe for life.

Warren was unable to have sex, unable to urinate in comfort because of his scrotum. In many cases he was confined to his home, lugging around his testicles like a wheelbarrow.

Due to lack of movement, Warren ballooned to 552 pounds. His penis became engulfed by the surrounding flesh, a whopping 30cm into his testicle sac.

This GIF helps explain the severity of Warren’s condition. With each passing day the scrotum grew in mass, almost 30 lbs a year.

That’s Dr. Gelman snapping a pic of the scrotum. He’s like a voyeur, a pervert really but with a white coat and a stethoscope.

Yes, that’s it. That’s the money shot. That’s what Warren carried around for the better part of 4.5 years. It weighed in at 132.5 lbs.

Perhaps the strangest before and after picture you’ll ever see.

And here’s Warren just a few months later, posing for the camera. Sadly, because of the surgery, he was left with a 1″ penis. But he don’t care. He’s still smiling. He’s still happy. The weight of the world was removed from his groin. Penis size be damned.
