Excuse my Jeopardy nerd-ness for a moment, but we need to talk about what happened last night. Specifically that moment when Ken Jennings turned into the Jeopardy whisperer and caused Roger Craig to lose all his money.
So yeah, it’s the Battle of the Decades final if you haven’t been paying attention. Two of the most successful players in Jeopardy history, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter are up against Roger Craig, who owns the record for most money won in a single epsiode.
Anyway, Craig’s strategy is pretty simple. Go fishing for the Daily Double and bet a whole heap of money. Last night, after building a lead, he landed on one of those Daily Doubles and then, this happened.
Even the closed caption guys caught it.
And then Roger Craig got it wrong. And then he had no money. And then he went into the negative. And then he didn’t even make it to Final Jeopardy.
All because Ken Jennings did him dirty.
