‘Game of Thrones’ Season 3 VFX reel shows it’s all a lie

By / 08.19.13

The Game of Thrones series is based on fantasy novels, but the show is a fantasy in itself. The VFX reel from Season 3 shows just how much of the landscape and action was digitally added.

Of course we all knew this, but it’s easy to forget that when watching because of how seamlessly everything blends together, from characters to entire landscapes. I guess that means the VFX house is doing their job well. The actors should probably buy digital wizards a thank you gift for saving them from actually climbing “the wall” during a blizzard.
