AMC

AMC’s hit show enters the second half of its fifth and final season on August 11, 2013 at 9 p.m. according to a press release issued by AMC today.

The return of the show will also feature a new wrap-up chat show similar to Walking Dead‘s post-show, Talking Dead. It’ll be cleverly titled Talking Bad. No host for the show has been announced yet.

According to Hitfix, the final season of the Bryan Cranston vehicle will be used to launch new show Low Winter Sun, a new crime drama about the murder of a Detroit police officer by a detective in his department.

The final season of Breaking Bad will be eight episodes long. In a recent interview with Collider, Cranston said the finale of the show “[is] going to be a wonderful surprise, these last eight episodes, for how it’s resolved.

“When I read the finale, I thought, ‘Oh, yeah! Yep!'”
