A Possibly Drunk Scott Weiland Does Karaoke Version of STP’s ‘Vasoline’ — Fans Are Livid

At 47-years-old, it’s conceivable that Scott Weiland’s voice is disappearing. He’s been singing his face off on stages for 30 years now, partying like a rock star (because that’s what he is), and sooner or later that was bound to catch up to him. On Wednesday, the former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman performed with his new band, ‘Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts’, at Brewster Street Icehouse in Corpus Christi, TX. The performance was captured on film, as seen above, and fans are truly devastated by seeing the Scott Weiland’s lackluster, monotone, generally awful performance.

TMZ spoke with a rep for Weiland who had this to say:

We spoke with Weiland’s rep who acknowledges it wasn’t Scott’s best work — but says it was a “perfect storm” of Scott being tired and having a couple of drinks before the show. The rep says to make things worse, Scott’s earpiece went out during the show, making it hard for him to stay on point.
The rep says, “Good news we’ve overnighted him a brand new pair of earbuds and they will be there for his show in Baton Rouge tonight.”

They’re trying to blame this on ear buds?!? Ear buds and a few cocktails?! I’ve had better karaoke performances when I’ve been three sheets to the wind and they’ve been shoving me out the door for last call. This is a man who was once one of the biggest rockers in the world. Obviously there’s more going on behind the scenes that we’re not privy too right now. It’s just sad to see such a dismal performance from a man with so much talent.
