D-WHY – A God Amongst Men
D-WHY dug into the vault this week and shared old material that he never got around to releasing when he first recorded it. And even though it's had over two years to cool off, it's still HOT. Is D-WHY “A God Amongst Men”?
LRB – Walls
With a hard-hitting (though admittedly raw) track, catchy hook, and a music video to match, LRB's BroBible debut is a strong one. Be sure to look out for this kid in the future, because he's chock-full of potential, and definitely hungry to succeed.
Mike Posner – Toast
Mike Posner released a new jam this past week, written, produced, and sung by him and only him. The first thing that'll go through most of your minds when you guys hear the vocals on this track will be “OMG, I can't believe it's not butter”. Let's raise a “Toast” to Posey.
You may not have heard his name, but you've heard his beats. A producer for some of the hottest emcees in the game (he even produced Danny Brown's “Hottest Emcee” track), Fraud has beats dirtier than a teenage boy's mind. Check out his new mixtape “Adrift”, which is a compilation of some of the many dope tracks he's produced recently.
After a two year wait, Tayyib Ali released his mixtape “Keystone State of Mind 2” this week, and let me say that this is one of the few times in life when it's worth the wait. And that's really all there is to it.
Raz Simone – Sometimes I Don't
The Northwest hip hop scene has been killing it for years, but it's been even more on top of its game lately, and Raz Simone's new track “Sometimes I Don't” doesn't disappoint. Featuring a mellow guitar-driven beat, and a dope sax hook, Raz's new track is the perfect thing to bump on a lazy day.
