I’m seeing Dillon Francis down at Echostage in Washington D.C. at the end of this month, so when I stumbled across “Pill On Francis” by Lets Be Friends I thought listening to it would be a good way to hold me over until his show.
Except it’s not a good way…it’s fucking great in its own right.
Lets Be Friends describes the track as “…A fun tribute to the man himself, Mr. Dillon Francis…As one of our favorite acts Dillon has always been a top producer in our eyes and after we came up with the phrase ‘Pill On Francis’, the rest of the track fell into place.”
Do I know what “Pill On Francis” means? Nope. Do I care? NOPE. I’ll still be listening to this for the next few weeks on repeat, regardless of seeing Francis on the 21st.
