Kanye West Has ‘Yeezus’ Listening Party Last Night, Confirms Collaborations, Explains Album Title

Kanye West had the official unveiling of 2013's most hotly anticipated album besides Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories' with a listening party for  'Yeezus' last night at Milk in NYC. The now-confirmed Rick Rubin executive produced record has been the talk of the internet lately with the debut of album cuts at Governers Ball this past weekend and rumors that the album release wasn't going to go as planned.

As Peter Rosenbeg of Hot97 in NY said that the album was “interesting” and relays in his review, “If you were a fan of Late Registration…this might not be the album for you.” With confirmed collaborations with Daft Punk on 3 or 4 tracks, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, the Hudson Mohawke & Lunice duo of TNGHT, Chief Keef, Travis Scott and many more, this is definitely not the type of album garnering for Top 40 radio attention. Said Kanye, “We didn’t give a fuck about what nobody said from the outside looking in. We just wanted to make the best product possible and this is just the beginning of an entire new mentality about how to make music.”

You can watch a video taken last night from the listening party below to hear the words from Kanye West himself and buy the album 6/18 to support the music.
