Why wasn’t this on Saturday Night Live? Because it’s funny? One of the most underrated of the current crop of SNL cast members is Jay Pharoah, who has an uncanny gift for impersonations. This clip from Above Average, Lorne Michaels’s Web production company, just surfaced of Pharoah doing a balls-out hilarious parody of Kanye West’s “I Am A God” that nails the pretentious rapper where it hurts. I guess they didn’t want to put this clip on the show because there’s some cuss words in it, but that’s what they invented beeping for. Too bad, because it’s funnier than the actual SNL show’s been all season.
