I'm talking, of course, about the song that played over the end credits. What'd you think I was talking about?
Who could have seen a Hold Steady song—sounding like it was ripped straight from the jukebox of the best dive bar you've ever been to—playing over the end credits of a swords-and-castles fantasy? The lyrics were written by George R.R. Martin and the composition came from show composer Ramin Djawadi, but it was unmistakably the Hold Steady's. Listen to “The Bear & The Maiden Fair” again above.
