'Downloaded,' set to premiere on March 10th at the SXSW Film Festival, chronicles everything from Napster's founding in 1998, to the subsequent and heavily unwelcome revolution it brought upon the music industry, to the endless lawsuits, to Napster eventually being acquired by Rhapsody in 2011.
Touted to be a rather thorough examination of the file-sharing era of music, the documentary also takes a look at how Napster paved the way for the now household ingrained online music services, such as iTunes and Spotify.
Looks dope. Hopefully, this is the sort of thing that'll make it onto Netflix instant soon after.
