‘The Grandmaster’ trailer looks great

By / 02.07.13

Wong Kar-Wai and a classic tale of martial arts mastery. You want all of this. The Grandmaster is based on the life story of Ip Man, the Kung Fu genius who trained Bruce Lee. There have already been a few films about the dude, but none of them were helmed by Hong Kong legend Wong Kar-Wai, one of the true masters of cinema working today. The Weinstein Company just picked up The Grandmaster for U.S. release, and from this French trailer it’s looking to be truly magnificent, with gorgeous cinematography and next-level fight scenes. No release date for The Grandmaster has been set.
