Wow, Newgrounds made a movie. Cool job on that, guys. I think I’ve made it clear that I’m pretty tired of Kevin Smith, so this latest effort – Jay & Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie – isn’t changing my mind. Jason Mewes produced the animated feature, animated by Canadian first-timer Steve Stark, allegedly for a budget of just $69,000. It looks like it was made for half that, and the “jokes” (such as they are) are scraped from the very bottom of the Smith barrel. Even worse, if you are a View Askew devotee who needs to see this, it’ll run you $40 when Smith and Mewes take it on tour later this year.
