Welcome to space, kid, it’s time for you to kill a bunch of aliens. One of the most anticipated flicks of the winter is Ender’s Game, a long-percolating adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s novel that the author himself deemed “unfilmable.” Andrew Wiggin is a gifted child sent to a “battle school” in space to learn how to stem the attacking tide of a brutal alien race. While there, he gets his brain twisted by battle simulations that turn out to be all too real. While author Card has been getting negative press for his dumbass anti-gay views, the flick is shaping up to be pretty good. Ender’s Game hits theaters on November 1st.
