Sin City: A Dame to Kill For has been told by the MPAA that this boobtastic poster featuring Eva Green is unacceptable. We heartily disagree. If this poster, combined with Jessica Alba reprising her role as stripper Nancy Callahan, wasn’t enough to get you to want to see this film then really, there’s truly pretty much nothing else they can do.
As for the poster being banned, according to Page Six, it was deemed too offensive because of “nudity — curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown.”
My guess is that they knew this poster would be banned, then we’d all talk about it and show it to everyone we know (because it’s awesome), and then just trot out the real one they planned to use in the first place. In other words, well done.
