Is there anything this guy can’t / won’t do? Why don’t people stop talking about Channing Tatum? From his real-life stripper escapades inspiring the hit Magic Mike to G.I. Joe: Retaliation being delayed nine months to let him film more scenes, it seems like Hollywood is just hanging off of C-Tatez’ junk like crazy. And now he’s going to play the greatest daredevil of the modern era.
The Hollywood Reporter has a brief that Tatum will produce and star in a biography of Evel Knievel, the legendary stuntman who transfixed audiences during the 60s and 70s by rocketing his motorcycle over buses, chasms and other obstacles. This won’t be the first attempt to translate his action-packed and somewhat bizarre life into film, as George Hamilton played Evel in a 1971 film and Knievel himself tried it in 1977. The new flick will be produced by Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti, who also just snagged the very coveted 50 Shades Of Grey property.
So what do you think? Does Channing Tatum have the balls to step into Evel’s jumpsuit, or will he crash and burn?
