Channing Tatum ‘doesn’t remember anything’ about this insane scene in ‘Foxcatcher’

Channing Tatum took method acting to an insane level in his new flick Foxcatcher.

Early reviews of Foxcatcher starring Channing Tatum and Steve Carrell have been incredibly positive. Tatum’s portrayal of Olympic wrestling champion Mark Schultz is getting strong marks from critics and the almost unrecognizable Carrell nails the roll of Schultz’s paranoid schizophrenic coach John du Pont. Not to spoil anything but du Pont murdered Schultz’s brother in cold blood.

As you can see from the GIF above, Tatum really got into his role would be an understatement. Tatum went so far as to smash his head into a mirror in one scene. Not once, not twice but THRICE! He explained the intense moment to reporters at the Cannes film festival in May.

“I feel weird talking about it,” Tatum told journalists. “I don’t remember anything of it, but I was sore afterwards. Your adrenaline’s going so much at the time it’s more of something you realize later.”

According to people on set, the mirror smashing made Tatum bleed quite a bit and he came within inches of a hitting a stud in the wall.
