It’s just not Star Wars without Princess Leia, right? In a recent interview, Carrie Fisher confirmed that she will reprise her famous role for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.
Fisher was asked by Palm Beach Illustrated in a recent interview if she’d return to the franchise that made her famous. Her reply? A simple “Yes.”
The news comes on the heels of Harrison Ford informing Latino Review that he’ll be reprising the role of Han Solo for the new film.
When asked how she envisioned the famous character would play out in the new series, Fisher told the magazine, “Elderly. She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home [laughs].
“I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle.”
Fisher also jokes in the interview that she may still don the iconic Princess Leia slave bikini.
